The Canadian company Corus Entertainment announced the launch of the production of the third season of the Bakugan anime series. The third season will be called Bakugan Gundalian Invaders and its release is scheduled for 2010. The information appeared on September 29 during the Investor Day of the company. Corus Entertainment also announced that the Bakugan multi-player online game is also set for the next year. As it is known the first two Bakugan anime seasons narrate about the adventures of Daniel (or Dan) and his friends as they try to liberate the alternate world Vestoria from the Bakugan warrior Dragonoid (or Drago).
Isao Kokubun, the president of the Sega Toys company, also announced that his company had an intention to produce the third season of the Bakugan Battle Brawlers anime series. The third season will be the part of the global online game project that the Activision company will release for such platforms as Nintendo DS and Wii, Sony PlayStation and Microsoft Xbox.
Initially the Bakugan franchise started from the card game developed by Spin Master and Sega Toys. The gamers use metal cards and magnetic toys that automatically turn into figures during the gameplay. The Bakugan card game has become extremely popular in the USA and Canada and it won several awards at the 9th Annual TOY (Toy of the Year). It got such significant awards as Property of the Year and Toy of the Year. The first anime series appeared on the Cartoon Network channel in the USA in February of 2008. The second season of the Bakugan anime series (New Vestoria) appeared on the screens in North America in the spring of 2009.
There is also information that Universal Pictures in association with Stuber Productions have concluded an agreement with Spin Master on the shooting of the Bakugan movie. |
