Bakugan Battle Brawlers video game was launched on October 20th by Activision on several different platforms. A big number of fans throughout the world will surely provide high sales. The game was developed for the Xbox 360, the PlayStation3, PlayStation 2, Nintendo's DS and Wii. A special bonus called “Naga” ball will be available at the DS version (Collector’s Edition).
David Oxford, the representative of Activision Publishing, revealed a few interesting details about the new game: "Bakugan is a real phenomenon that continues to explode in popularity and the videogame will attract even more people into its world. The Bakugan Battle Brawlers videogame combines the characters and narration from the animation series with the skill and strategy of the toy line to create a totally new experience." This quotation cannot be regarded as simple marketing activity aimed at the promotion of the new product as even people who don’t watch Bakugan television series are familiar with its popularity.

Bakugan continues the story of Dan and his friends as their lives drastically change when mysterious cards fall from the sky. The cards turn out to be magic items with powerful monsters within. Building a game with the help of the cards makes kids all over the world participate in the battles, but Dan's group stands out from the crowd. The plot of the video game remains the same as in the card game. Players need to roll spheres onto their cards and release Bakugans that will participate in the battle.
Maybe we will have to wait until the game proves to be successful, but if it has the result similar to the popularity of the Bakugan toy then it will be without exaggeration called a real best-seller in its segment.
Some analysts even say that If the franchise preserves the current pace of growth it can overtake the popularity of the Pokemon in the near future.
